Mental health is not a destination it’s a process.
You’re in the drivers seat!

The Peas...

Lisa Ingalls

Host

I am a wife, a doggy mommy, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. After suffering a great deal of loss in 2020-2021, I needed to heal and for my voice to be heard. This is my self-care journey, not my selfish journey.

After enduring my own mental health struggles, I became a brand ambassador for Young Goat, an organization that believes everyone can be a GOAT (Greatest of All Time). With YG backing me, I made it my purpose that no one should ever have to suffer in silence. I started speaking at high schools to let students know that it’s okay to ask for help—to find the person to talk to.

It’s important to have your voice heard, and it’s okay to open up about mental health.

Sonny

Host

With more personalities than a psychologist’s phonebook, Sonny, who is a fully trained supervisor in the construction industry, is a longtime family man. And far too sarcastic to take life too seriously.

Sonny’s relentlessly helpful nature includes brightening the dark and extracting the troubles out of others—not only with his crazy, unfiltered opinions but also from his own dark life lessons. Forever smiling but delicate as a hand grenade, he is on a mission.

Babies and children are my things; that is why I became a K-12 Special Education teacher (2009 graduate from the University of Arizona) and knew I wanted children from the time I was a little girl.

God blessed me with a wonderful man and three beautiful children (two boys and a girl). I love gardening, houseplants, sending snail mail with tons of stickers and confetti, being outside, and going to church—and of course, I could not live without my friends and family. I try to be better each day by serving others, shining God’s light, being more patient and kind, and spreading love.

By increasing mental health awareness, I hope to make this world a better place.

... and how the pod was born

The question is how did Lisa living in Park City, UT become friends with Sonny living 4,851 miles away across the pond in England become friends?
The simple answer is Instagram.  I came across Sonny’s profile and asked (more like begged) him to model for a clothing brand I was an Ambassador for.  We quickly became friends.

The rest is social media history.  We are all so passionate about mental health as it has hit each of us personally.

We can’t wait to share this journey with you.
